With the arrival of Spring it is only natural that I have been eyeing up all the latest fashion trends which isn't good for my bank balance. So here are a few things that have been added to my shopping basket lately...

Image 1 of New Look Lace Off the Shoulder Top

Off the shoulder tops are one of my favourite trends this season. They can be used as a staple throughout the Spring and Summer. I can pair this white one with jeans in the Spring and then shorts or a skirt in the Summer so versatile.

Image 3 of Daisy Street Cold Shoulder Strappy Top

I like the style and colour of this top, the cut out design makes it a great transition for Spring when the weather isn't quite warm enough for short sleeves.

Love this printed dress, such a great colour and style. A great piece to transition into Spring and can even be worn in Summer. Cannot wait to pair these with gladiator sandals.

Image 1 of Missguided Scarf Print Shirt Dress

One of my favourite things about the warmer temps is having the option of just throwing a dress on and your good to go. So quick, easy and trendy! This dress is such a good piece for Spring when the weather hasn't quite warmed up yet.

We all know that March and warmer temps bring the return of white jeans! I wore mine a ton last year but unfortunately they were ruined when I dropped a pizza slice on them (don't ask) so I have been eyeing these white jeans as a replacement.

Lately I am struggling to find a pair of jeans that fit my like a glove, well last week I went into the store and tried these on and they fit so well. I had an online voucher to spend so I decided to just order them online instead as I am all about saving money. These jeans are so cheap and such good quality, so I am picking up the white pair above which is from the same store.

Everyone needs a pair of gladiator sandals in their life for Spring/Summer. Love the simple design of these, can't wait to buy these!

Lace up flats are so popular right now, these will basically go with everything and you can dress up an outfit or dress down an outfit with these love them.

Which pieces have you been eyeing up lately ready for Spring/Summer and the warmer temps? Anything worth sharing?

Friday Faves...

Here are my favourites from this week...

Video

So Wednesday night was the National Television Awards, an awards show that is all about television shows obviously. The two hosts of This Morning, which is a breakfast show won an award. So they went to an after party to celebrate and got really drunk but had to present the next mornings TV show, they turned up still in their clothes from the night before and hadn't even had time to go home. It was so funny seeing these two trying to present a show whilst still drunk and hungover! Definitely give it a watch if you have time.

Photo

This is a photo of me and my bestfriend. I haven't really seen much of her since I moved away but its so nice to know that she is always there for me whenever I need her. Those friendships where you pick up where you left off are special to me. Love you Luc!

Product

Sorry for the rubbish quality, had to take it quickly with my Iphone.

I have really dry skin on my face, its all red and my make up never looks right because of it. I have tried tons of moisturisers but they all end up making my skin look oily or because of my sensitive skin I have flare ups. The other day I was at my local store and picked up something by Simple to give it a try, it claimed it was kind to the skin so why not? I have used it all this week and I can already feel a difference. I think it cost around £3-£4.

Recipe

I found this super easy recipe and I can't remember where and I didn't take any photos of my finished product because I was too hungry but you have to trust me that it is was so good! Taste just like a pizza but tons easier.

Ingredients- Tomato puree, cheese of your choice (I used mature and mild cheddar) and toppings of your choice (I used pepperoni) and a baguette.

Step one: Cut down the middle of the baguette length ways, and take out the middle so the baguette has no top and is hollow.

Step two: Fill your baguette first with cheese then the tomato puree and more cheese

Step three: Add the topping(s) of your choice

Step four: Bake in the oven for 10-20 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Step five: Eat away!

Funnies

Haha!! But really...some people really think everything is about themselves.:

Source

Some people really do think they are the best thing since slice bread when really they aren't nothing special so this made me laugh out loud.

Source

So true, all my house inspiration and food recipes are stored on Pinterest. Now just to win the lotto;)

Source

I only just realised this, must explain why a pint of ice cream gets eaten within a day around these parts.

And finally

You there, Friday! Welcome back you sexy son of a bitch! We've been looking for you since Monday!:

The weather around here has been horrible lately with temperatures reaching -3 degrees. Usually as soon as the cold weather hits I am ready to get my booty on a plane and head to somewhere warmer. So all I have been doing lately is dreaming, researching and booking about a summer vacation where I can get some sun on this pasty skin of mine. Planning a vacation to somewhere is what gets me through these harsh winter months.

These are the top 4 places where I would want to travel to this Summer...

1| New York

Source

There is just something about NYC that just gets me. It is one of those must see places that you have to go to once in your life (personally), I have been dreaming about going to New York ever since I was a little girl. Empire state building, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, 9/11 memorial, all the shopping and everything else in between, New York I am coming for you.

2| Amsterdam

Source

Considering I live in the U.K I really should take advantage more of the cheap flights to Europe. I have never been to Amsterdam but just looking at the pictures of all the beautiful canals is just picturesque. I really would like to just take in all the beautiful scenery by foot or by bike and this city seems perfect for that amongst other things. My friend went there and she really enjoyed it and it definitely by passed her expectations.

3) Paris

Source

Oh Paris! Paris is one of my very favourite cities to visit. I have been twice and am going for a third time in July and I am so stinking excited. I haven't been since I was 15 which was 4 years ago so I can't wait to visit all my favourite places and also the fact that I won't have to rush around like a tourist because I have seen most of the tourist spots before. Although I will visit the Eiffel tower again and obviously Disney Land is a must but other than that I am free. The food is delicious in Paris so many lovely cafes to go to for a bite to eat. The ambiance, the scenery and everything else makes Paris one of my all time favourite cities.

4| Italy

Source

My next door neighbours visit Italy at least once every year and love it so much. After seeing all their pictures and hearing all their stories it has made me want to go so much. Venice, Rome, Florence and Sicily would be amazing. After all Italian is my favourite cuisine and nobody does pizza like Italians so I have heard.

What is on your travel bucket list? Do you get to cross anything off that list this summer or are you just dreaming?

PS If you have any recommendations about hotels, places to eat, things to do in any of the above cities then do let me know!

fall

These past few weeks have been so exhausting and unfortunately blogging has taken a back seat whilst I have been trying to settle into my new routine. So what better way to get back into the blogging game then linking up with Jessi and Jen!

There is nothing I love more in life than fall and food so now that the temperatures have started to drop here in the u.k I can finally start making my favourite fall recipes! I can't wait to start eating all the chilli, soups and everything apple.

Whilst I love making and sticking to my favourite recipes, it is always good to throw in some new ones for good measure. So here are some of the recipes I have been pinning lately that I must try.

1| Butternut squash and sweet potato soup (source)

Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Soup {vegan}

Doesn't it look delicious??

I love butternut squash soup (but I have never made it) and sweet potato has become a staple in my diet lately so I think this soup would be a hit. Not to mention it is a really healthy dish and vegan approved!

2| Crock pot pumpkin chili (source)

Crock Pot Pumpkin Chili - The PERFECT dinner to warm you up on a cold fall night! www.kissmybroccoliblog.com

Omg yes please I cannot wait to start making this. This dish just screams fall with the added ingredient of the pumpkin. So easy to prepare too, chuck it in the crock pot and come home to a lovely smelling home and dinner already made.

3| Slow cooked shredded beef tacos (source)

This looks absolutely heavenly. We have a thing called taco Tuesdays in my family and I cannot wait to add this to my rotation. Nothing like some good Mexican.

4| Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (source)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancakes are everything you need this Fall!

Ever since I had my first PSL (ever) I have been trying to pin everything pumpkin. Warm gooey cookies are my favourite kind of cookies throw in some chocolate chips and pumpkin and I am a happy girl.

5| Hot apple cider with rum (source)

Mulled Apple Cider Cocktail BoulderLocavore.com

Really want to try this twist to the classic hot apple cider. Nothing like sitting by the fire watching tv with a nice warm alcoholic beverage.

What is your favourite fall recipe to make?

fall

I am so glad it is the weekend, I am so exhausted and cannot wait to open up a bottle of wine and settle down in front of the TV.

Now onto my Friday five...

1| I couldn't write a post without mentioning Fall! It is my favourite season by far as you all know. I love Fall fashion and Fall TV. All my favourite programs are due to return in the next few weeks so you may not here much from me;)

2| You know you are an adult when you ask for a blender for your birthday. Yep my birthday is next month and my mother asked me what I wanted and I said a blender. I love making my own homemade soups and when I move I won't have a blender as the one I currently use is in fact my mothers so I thought I would ask for something useful.

3| This weekend will be all about family time and I cannot wait. I am so excited to be spending the weekend with my dads side of the family. They live quite a distance away from me so I don't see them all that often. I cannot wait to spend it with my aunties, uncles and cousins. Quality time with family is the best especially when it involves take out food and board game.

4| Now Fall is here I have been on the hunt for the perfect fall boots. I have a coupon for 20% off on ASOS and how convenient it expires this weekend.
So far I have been liking these beauties below, tell me which is your favourite because I can't seem to decide.

I really want a pair of knee high boots with
a heel and I do like these but don't know if they are appropriate or not.

Black is my staple colour but I don't know if they are too plain for my liking.

I really like these boots, tassles are really in this Fall.

I am leaning towards the last pair the more I look at them, but still would love to hear your thoughts.

5| I was browsing Facebook and came across this video, it is a video from Tom Fletcher a famous British musician announcing he is going to be a dad for a second time! Such a great pregnancy announcement idea you should all check it out such a sweet video.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Whats Hap-pinning {4}

life

There is nothing more I like to do after a stressful day than sit on the couch and binge watch TV. It is fair to say that I am a champion when it comes to the amount of shows I have watched. Is there a job where I can sit and binge watch TV and get paid for it? If so hit me up.

Here are 5 shows that I am currently binge watching...

1| Friends- A classic series that you can't go wrong watching, it always manages to pick me up after a particularly bad day. It reminds me of the type of friendships me and my friends have. This is my 5th time watching the series from start to finish.

2| Sons of Anarchy- It has such a great cast with the likes of Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman. It is about a single father who finds his loyalty to his motorcycle club tested and it tackles issues such as gun running to vigilante justice. I am only a few episodes in but so far so good. When someone recommended it to me I wasn't sure as it wasn't my type of show but so glad I gave it a go.

3| New Girl- This is my type of show that I knew I would like from the off set and it did not disappoint. It is an hilarious comedy that stars Zooey Deschanel. She really portrays the main character really well. It is about a girl who finds her partner cheating and moves into a flat with 3 other guys. You can just imagine the hilarity from that last sentence alone.

4| Friday Night Lights- Another show that surprised me, everyone seemed to love this and recommended it to me so I thought I would give it a watch. I can't stop watching I have already watched nearly all the episodes since Friday night. This show also tackles some very important issues such as family values, school funding, racism, drugs, abortion, and lack of economic opportunities.

5| Dexter- This has gripped me from the start and I am on the last but one episode from finishing it. It is kind of dark and twisted but you can't help but like the main character despite the fact he is a serial killer. He tries to gain justice for the victims by killing those who have killed them. I totally recommend that you watch this if you haven't already.

Other shows that I have recently finished binge watching and are up to date on are- How to Get Away with Murder, Pretty Little Liars, House of Cards and the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

If you have any recommendations of shows you like to watch then send them my way. I am always on the look out for good TV series to watch because you know I have nothing else to do;)

Just A Bunch Of Randomness {Friday Link Ups}

five on friday

1| My new blog design is finally here. The good news is that it is better than my old one but the bad news is I did it myself.
I was far to indecisive in choosing someone to help me and I was bored the other day so just thought I would try and come up with a simple blog design.
After about 3 hours and endless tutorials I did it.
If you know of any good blog designers at a reasonable price I could work with send them my way!

2| I am so excited for fall/Autumn (since the majority of my readers are American I find myself using their terminology a lot more) I love everything about it from Halloween, to chunky jumpers, to knee high boots, to the crunching of the leaves when you walk.
I have already been browsing the internet for some stuff to add to my wardrobe ready for fall/autumn that I will share with you all in the coming weeks.
Am I the only one that is so excited for fall/autumn?

I know I am years behind on this trend but I have finally started to listen to podcasts. I love anything to do with crime as you all know by now so I have started listening to Serial. I am 3 episodes in and I am so intrigued.

I have wanted to listen to it way back when everyone else was but I could never really concentrate listening to podcasts as I am such a visual person but I am so glad I have started to listen to them. So great for road trips or just a commute in the car!
Anyone have any good podcasts to recommend to me once I am done with Serial?

4| Now that school is out I seem to have a lot more time on my hands so I have been doing a lot of baking.
I found the best ever cookie recipe on Pinterest and I have made them on three different occasions.

The BEST Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies EVER. You

Just look at them! I love me some Peanut Butter.

I would show you how mine turned out like but a) they didn't look as appetising despite tasting great and b) me and my family devoured them before there was time to take a picture.
Head on over to Pinterest board for the recipe *it won't disappoint*
What is your favourite recipe to make? Dessert or a meal?

5| This show is all I have been watching lately.

I know it looks like all I do is watch TV with the amount of posts I mention it in but I promise I do actually productive things *sometimes*
I have hardly any energy in the evenings so all I really want to do is snuggle up on the couch watching TV and this show is everything I want in a TV show.
Do you think Joanna and Chip will fly over and give my house a overhaul, a girl can dream right.Do any of you watch this?

Sorry for such a shitty post last night had me spending the majority of the time with my head down the toilet. No I wasn't drunk, I have some kind of stomach bug but I couldn't miss linking up with these fabulous ladies.

TGIF...

five on friday

This week has dragged on way too long for me so I am super pumped that it is the weekend. Lets get straight to it!

1) {New purchases}

I bought a new foundation this week and whilst it is a little on the pricey side I am in love! It lasts all day and actually goes on smoothly. I hate those foundations that look cakey when you apply them.

It is by Yves Saint Laurent and is really good for day or night wear.

I also ordered this cute make up bag. Perfect for me to put my essentials in and throw into my handbag or to keep my essentials organised instead of thrown across the bathroom cabinet.

2) {Weather talk- rain rain go away}

The weather has been awful here lately. I am talking rain and wind non stop so plans have been pretty limited. Rain makes me just want to curl up inside! So I used that time to head to the library to browse for some books. I just can't justify spending £10-15 on a book that I can get free in the library. I picked up the girl on the train and I am already half way through. It feels good to pick up a book again instead of turning on the Tv.

3) {Poor me}

I haven't felt myself since I came back from holiday. I have had a continuous cough that has kept me up until all hours, my nose keeps dripping like a tap and I just feel tired. I know it is nothing serious and I will get over it soon yadda yadda but it is just super annoying. I love sleep and to be kept up until all hours is really getting on my nerves, plus coughing until I am nearly sick no thank you. Anyone have any remedies to make any of said issues better?

4) {To fit bit or not to fit bit}

I am thinking of getting a fit bit but I am still indecisive. Are they worth getting? I need something that tracks my steps so I know where I am and it seems like a good thing to help achieve fitness goals that I set for myself.

5) {Weekend plans}

This weekend is my local summer cheese and wine festival! There are samples for you to try, rides and a lot of other random stalls. I love going to the festival it may be because of the free wine but sh;) I hope the weather holds up because it is such a fun event for the whole family to attend!
