This is so true

Sorry for the radio silence over in these parts yesterday, it was just I had one extra day to squeeze in with family before it was time to head back to university. 

So lets get on with my very 'exciting' weekend which consisted of...

-Travelling back Friday evening to my hometown and standing up on the train for an hour of my journey, public transport is rough sometimes.

1| My make up routine is pretty simple to say the least. I usually wear foundation, mascara, a nude/light pink lipstick and an eye brow pencil for my eyebrows. I really want to add a few more products for nighttime wear because I think my simple routine works for the day but not for the night. I am thinking of investing in the Urban Decay eye shadow pallet, has anyone used it would you recommend it? Is it worth the hype and money? 

2| My hair is in terrible condition lately. It keeps falling out and is so dry! I wake up to hair everywhere, I am so lucky my hair is thick otherwise I would have none left. My hair needs some love so do you have any tips or products that can help with my current hair situation? I can't handle waking up to this much hair anymore and having to hoover all the time because it is that bad. 

3| One of my goals was to drink more water and cut down my soda to one can/glass a day. I managed it for 2 days before I started to feel horrible. I am talking headaches and even getting the shakes. Please tell me it will get better because I am about to run to the nearest store to stock up on soda. I really want to start cutting down on my sugar intake and soda is where I consume most of my sugar from so when will these symptoms start to go? I literally had to take a nap yesterday and be in the dark for hours as my headaches were that bad.

4| Everyone knows I love Adele, I think her voice is on another level. I absolutely love her new album and I am so glad she is back. I just wish her tour tickets weren't so damn expensive so I could go. She took part in James Corden's late late late car pool karaoke, have you all seen it? It has made me fall even more in love with her, she is so down to earth. Who knew she could rap too! If you haven't seen it then you can watch it here. Please give it a watch it will not disappoint.

5| This weekend I am going home to spend some time with my family. Although I have only been back to university for 2 weeks, it has been so stressful. I have had essays due in and presentations to present. I just need some time in my own home and a decent nights sleep, living in university accommodation is no joke guys. My mum has also taken the whole weekend off and considering I rarely saw her over the Christmas break it will be so nice to spend some quality time with her. I am so lucky to only live an hour away from my home town.
         

The fact that we are only 13 days into January and I have already failed at one of my blogging goals (to post 3 days a week) is actually quite funny. I never expected to fail this early on;) But in all seriousness I knew that it would take a fair bit of work for me to get that consistency  especially when January is my busiest month regarding school. Hopefully by the end of 2016 I can check that goal off my list, but the good thing about goals is that you can continue working on them and adjusting them until they work for you.

There was a reason why I wasn't able to write posts, it was because I was sorting out a new blog design woo! It isn't perfect by any means I still need to update a few things but the bulk of things are done. It is definitely an improvement, a more slick design with black, white, silver but hopefully over the next few weeks they things will be 100% finished.

So I just thought I would update you on why I was already failing 2016, 13 days in. 

Now if you need me I will be in bed watching Making a Murderer! I am so hooked on that show, it is giving me all the feels. 

Have any of you watched it? If so what are your thoughts? I could talk about this documentary all day. 

• I am still mourning the end of Christmas. It flew by so fast and I was so busy around the Christmas season that I never took time to really enjoy it. I finally took down my tree today and I am so sad about it. My favourite part was sitting by the fire with the twinkling of the lights and watching a film.
• I have started watching a new TV series called The Affair. It has been around for a few years but I only recently started watching it. I may not have watched all 2 seasons in a week.
  
  
  

  
  
• All I have eaten this week for dinner is pizza. You can never have too much pizza right?
  
  
• I haven't shaved my legs in a really long time, I am talking months. It takes too much effort when they are just being covered by pants anyway.
• I just signed up for Instagram, I know I am probably the last one to have an Instagram account but better late than never right? Follow me courtjonesxx

The time between Christmas and New  Year is always the time I get the most reflective. I always sit down and think about the past year and what I want to improve/achieve in the following year. 

I usually end up writing a big list of goals I want to do or achieve that are totally unattainable or that I know I will only stick to for a few weeks. I start the beginning of the year full of enthusiasm and ready to tackle said goals and by the end of January I fall off the bandwagon.

It then leaves me deflated for the rest of the year, not having completed said goals. Seeing others sticking to their New Years resolutions whilst I am sat in the corner feeling like a failure.

• Find someone to help me redesign this blog space (anyone know of anyone who can help a girl out)
• Make sure that I capture moments on my phone/camera as we all know that a good blog post has at least one picture right?
• Update all my pages 
• Post at least 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)

This is me right now. The lack of pictures is quite comical but by mid afternoon I was way to drunk to take any photos. The documenting of Christmas 2015 has been a giant fail, but I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays!
